Children’s programs

Babysitting - St. Michael’s offers a free babysitting service for infants and children up to the age of 3 during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Our babysitters are loving and competent in caring for your children in a safe, secure and fun filled environment. The program runs year-round Stop in for a visit any Sunday morning and check it out.  You may use the service as often or as little as you wish depending on the needs of your family. Pre-registration is not necessary and parents are not required to assist in the running of the program, however, if you would like to volunteer your time in the babysitting room, please contact our Pastoral Minister.

Sunday School -  Our Sunday school program offers children aged 3 to 6 a wonderful opportunity to experience the word of God at their level through story, music and crafts. The program runs year-round at the10:30 a.m. Mass. The children process from the assembly at the beginning of Mass and return after the homily.  Our dedicated volunteers provide a warm and welcoming environment where young children can joyfully encounter their Lord. Parent participation is encouraged.

Liturgy of the Word for Children -  The Liturgy of the Word for Children is designed for children in Grades 2 through 4. They hear the Sunday readings proclaimed at their level of understanding. They are invited to share insights into what they have heard and are encouraged to find ways to put into practice what they have experienced at the Sunday sessions. The program runs year-round at the10:30 a.m. Mass.  The children process from the assembly at the beginning of Mass and return after the homily.   No pre-registration is required. Parents are welcome to assist if they wish.
